SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

It has always been our endeavor to promote the use of environment friendly products and processes for the production of our products. It is our effort to provide and give back to the society and the environment from which we take so much from. Each year we try to reduce our carbon footprint by utilizing the eco-friendly materials.

Brij uses Fly Ash in the Portland cement mix which, if disposed otherwise is a threat to the environment, however, when used in cement mix, it is an eco friendly product and leads more points by LEED. Further, use of Fly Ash also improves the strength and durability of the cement.

BRIJ Cement organized relief camp for the earthquake struck Nepal. The staff of BRIJ Cement travelled to areas Sindhupalchowk and Dhading with relief materials such as blankets, foodstuffs, tripals, and other useful items. They were able to provide help to 5,000 to 8,000 affected people in the area.

The Staff of the BRIJ donated their one day salary towards the relief fund of Nepal and additionally, they organized football tournament and the proceeds from the event went as a charity towards relief for earthquake affected people of Nepal.

BRIJ Cement over the years has been taking countless initiatives for the upliftment and development of the rural and the marginalized under the leadership of Sh. Dinesh Kumar Agarwal. With his great effort and initiative the group has undertaken various social welfare activities for the betterment of the employees and the society. Some of these activities include:

• Contribution in building Mandir at Londana Baba Mandir, Battal Ballian , Udhampur.
• Contribution in Building the cancer hospital built by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
• Involved in regular Langar at Baba Londana Mandir.
• Involved in organizing Cricket Matches with the cricket association in Udhampur.
• Involved in the building drainage system for the villages near industry.
